Hand lay-up: flexible and fast.

The most versatile process: the laminator places each ply of fabric in the mold and wets it out with resin. Ideal for prototypes, one-off parts, repairs and geometries that other processes cannot handle.

When to choose it

When flexibility is what matters.

Hand lay-up needs no injection equipment or closed molds, so it is the fastest way to go from an idea to a part. It can be combined with vacuum bagging and oven curing for better consolidation.

We work with carbon fiber, fiberglass, kevlar and other composite materials, and combine fabrics according to how the part will be used.

  • One-off or large parts
  • Composite molds
  • Reinforcements and repairs

Craft

Skilled hands, verified dimensions.

Hand lay-up depends on the laminator's experience. That is why we cut the patterns accurately, control the resin weight and measure the finished part with FARO.

FAQ

What customers ask us most.

Hand lay-up or infusion?

Hand lay-up is quicker to set up and more flexible; infusion gives higher fiber content and better repeatability. For prototypes and one-off parts, hand lay-up is usually enough.

Do you make carbon fiber prototypes?

Yes. It is one of the main uses of hand lay-up: testing shape, fit and weight before investing in production molds.

What finishes do you offer?

As-molded, sanded, clear-coated or painted in a 60 m² pressurized spray booth, depending on the part.
