Composite molds and tooling, machined and measured.
A part can only be as good as its mold. We machine molds, patterns and tooling on 5-axis up to 8 × 3 × 2 m and verify them with FARO before delivery. For us to lay up, or for you to lay up.
The mold material, chosen for the part.
We choose the mold material according to the cure temperature, the number of parts and the accuracy required.

| Material | Used for |
|---|---|
| Tooling board (epoxy or polyurethane) | Patterns, prototypes and short runs; quick to machine |
| Aluminum | RTM and production molds; good thermal conductivity |
| Cast iron | Long runs and high temperatures |
| Fiberglass or carbon fiber | Lightweight molds taken from a pattern; thermal expansion similar to the part |
Complex geometries, solved in the mold.
We design split molds and molds with inserts so that geometries with undercuts can be demolded, and we add datums, trim lines and vacuum areas to make lay-up easier.

Measured before it leaves.
Every mold is verified with a FARO arm or laser tracker against its CAD model, and we deliver the deviation report. That way you know that if there is a problem, it is not in the mold.
Composite manufacturers trust us with their molds: we treat them with complete confidentiality.

Technical articlesMolds: tooling board or aluminum
Part count, temperature, accuracy and cost: which one to choose.
Send us your drawing or 3D model, and we’ll bring it to life.
We study your project with the same care you put into designing it, then send you a clear proposal covering process, lead time and price. Only have the physical part? We’ll scan it and take it from there.
What customers ask us most.
Do you machine molds for us to lay up ourselves?
Yes, it is one of our main lines of work. We deliver the mold machined and measured, with complete confidentiality.
Tooling board or aluminum?
Tooling board is faster and cheaper for prototypes and short runs; aluminum withstands more cycles, temperature and pressure. Our technical article explains this in detail.
What is the maximum mold size?
Up to 8 × 3 × 2 m in a single piece on our largest 5-axis center.
Can you make the mold from a physical part?
Yes. We 3D-scan the part, build the model and machine the mold.
